Walls of Jerusalem Edition Size: 150 The Walls of Jerusalem National Park forms a part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area and is characterised by alpine wilderness and dominated by dolerite peaks. The seemingly landscaped vegetation with its stands of stunted pencil pines give this area a real fairy land feeling. The enormity of the walls and the delicate flora are truly amazing. During my exhibition in 2006, this was probably the photo that drew the most comments from bushwalkers, generally along the lines of what a nice day it must have been and how it wasn’t like that when they were there! There was heavy rain for two days before I took this, with little creeks and tarns forming for a short time before draining into the subterranean and disappearing. |
