Photographer
Nerida's love of the
natural world, camping and bushwalking have been instrumental in developing
her passion for photography.
Her
work has taken her to a diverse cross section of landscapes, from remote
alpine beaches, turquoise bays, mountain tops, ancient rainforests and
weather beaten coasts.
Using a panoramic
camera, Nerida's work enables viewers to gain a real sense of the true beauty of these
locations, with the perspective allowing them to feel as if they are 'really there'.
Camera & Film
Nerida uses a medium format Linhof Technorama
617S III professional panoramic camera with a 72mm Schneider lens for her
photography with Velvia Fujichrome film - famous for its fine grain, extreme
sharpness and fantastic colour saturation.
German engineered, the Linhof gives superb depth of field and amazing
definition, taking a photograph which captures the 'eye's view' perspective.
Each transparency measures 6 x 17cm
and captures such fine detail that photos can be
blown up
to very large sizes
without any loss of clarity.
All this guarantees that
your photograph will be of the highest resolution and detail, giving you an
image you can look at over and over again and never tire of.
Awards
In 2005 Nerida was the recipient of the Dombrovskis Wilderness
Award, awarded by the Premier of Tasmania in honour of internationally
acclaimed photographer, the late Peter Dombrovskis. |
